Our team

Three clinicians. One calm practice.

An MD, a DO, and a PA-C — three women with distinct training, working side by side to cover the breadth of adult medicine. When you come in, you'll see someone who knows you.

Candi Overholt, M.D.

Medical Doctor

Dr. Overholt is the founder of Reflection Healthcare and an Internal Medicine physician serving the people of East Tennessee.

Her journey into medicine began when a first job showed her how science could intersect with compassion. She attended Walters State Community College and East Tennessee State University, where her studies challenged her to think carefully about God and about medicine. She went on to earn her medical degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, and completed Internal Medicine residency at Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, where she chose the Primary Care track — drawn to the critical diagnostic work of Internal Medicine and the continuity of care it allows.

She has been married to her high school sweetheart for twenty years. Together they are raising five children. In her free time she loves to travel and hike with her family.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11

Family Medicine

Sarah Knuettel, D.O.

Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

Dr. Knuettel is a Family Medicine physician. Originally from Chattanooga and a lifelong East Tennessean, she was drawn to primary care and to medical missions during her training, and she brings both commitments into her everyday practice.

She earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Lincoln Memorial University, and her medical degree from DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency under Lonesome Pine Hospital in Southwest Virginia, with training sites across the Tri-Cities, and served as Chief Resident her senior year.

Her training focused on adapting to every kind of environment — including the thoughtful use of osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) as part of everyday care. OMM is integrated into her visits where appropriate, not booked separately.

She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Osteopathic Family Medicine.

Outside the clinic, Lexis is a devoted wife and mother, and cherishes the ordinary moments of family life.
